The Friends For A_Dog Foundation is excited to announce another collaboration with our friends at  Brooklyn's Building Beats Program. This two day event is a hands-on experience for youth that explores turntablism and DJ skills, beat production, and lyric writing and recording. With instruction provided by our expert staff, students will work collaboratively over two days to produce and record their own tracks. 

Through the form of Hip Hop, dancers will be introduced to the four elements of dance; Body, Energy, Space, and Time which are present throughout all dance forms. They will learn how to express themselves through movement, both choreographed and improvised, through guided instruction as well as with their own ideas and creations. Students will understand this to be a form of storytelling as well as a form of social protest/commentary as they simultaneously define and refine their self-expression. Hip Hop teaches discipline, strength, inclusion, cultural connections, history, respect, and performance goals. Hip Hop draws from all forms.

ROLL WITH IT…Friends For A_DOG Foundation Skateboarding Program is designed for beginners and advanced skaters to progress to their next level of skateboarding. In a creative and safe environment that promotes wellness and encourages communication, growth, perseverance, and happiness, each individual will develop new skills.
