A Man That Did So Much For Our Beloved, Andy "A_Dog" Williams

We are profoundly sad to hear the news that Jake passed away peacefully last night surrounded by his family and loved ones as a result of complications from recurring cancer.

Jake was very much there for Andy during his own battle with cancer as well as a devastating apartment fire. Jake supported Andy in his art as well, making Andy his go-to choice for DJing Burton events far and wide.

He was the soul of snowboarding. We are forever grateful to him for giving us the sport we all love so much.

FFA_D Skate Camp 2016

The skate camp, provided by the FFA_D Foundation was exclusive for the youth of the King Street Center and two sessions ran daily. We hosted a camp for younger participants and another for teens. The students of the camp are all super talented and most of them had never attempted skateboarding before and they made AMAZING progress.

The thing that makes the FFA_D skate-camp unique & special is that, it is 100% FREE and paid for by the FFA_D Foundation. Each participant was provided with a COMPLETE set up of gear to include: ALL safety pads, a helmet and a COMPLETE Skateboard set up, that they will graduate the camp with to continue to use and maintain on their own & skate the park on their own time.
This is an amazing opportunity for the youth of the King Street Center and our community. Huge thanks to Trina Zide, Maven Vt, Burligton parks and rec, Tony Hawk & the Tony Hawk Foundation , Dealer.com, the entire Friends For A-Dog crew, and ALL OF YOU who donated gear, money and your time.

We look forward to providing Burlington, Vermont and the surrounding cities in Vermont with more camps like this in the future!

The First Annual FFA_D DJ Camp - 2017

The first ever Friends For A-Dog Foundation DJ Camp was an incredible and amazing experience to show the middle school students. DJing, Beat Making and Rapping.

Day one was all about DJ'ing. Day two's focus was on making hip hop beats, where we did sampling and made a beat with the kids. Day three was all about Rapping and Song Writing. We produced a full Hip Hop track with the beat from day two. The recording we made will be coming soon. Each student from the camp is also featured on the track!!

The camp took place at Andy's high school, Bellows Free Academy, St. Albans - Northwest Technical Center!!

International Go Skate Day & Make Music Day - 2017

This past Wednesday, June 21st, 2017 was International Go Skate Day and Make Music Day. Here in Burlington Vermont, we celebrated the occasion through love, happiness and community at the Andy "A_Dog" Williams Skatepark by the Burlington waterfront. We hosted several local DJs and a skating competition which made the day very special.

Another Successful Bone Marrow Registry

The Friends For A_Dog Foundation bone marrow team was able to register sixteen more individuals, in three hours time into the Be The Match database, at the 1st Phorm event @ Lift VT on April 13, 2017. Thanks again to Art Monaghan for inviting the foundation to be involved with the event!!
