MUSIC: Beats, Rhythms, and Rhyme

Consists of ever-changing Multi-day courses and workshops that cover the introduction of turntablism, writing lyrics, and beat production. Concluding with building a beat, and recording yourself rapping/singing over it. Friends For A_Dog understands that music education can help it’s participants find reasons to thrive even when they don’t always feel like they have opportunities to. Through music we strive to build connections and spark creativity with our participants while fostering a genuine sense of community. We believe that MUSIC opens gateways to unique opportunities.

HOW

The Foundation presents these workshops in diverse settings & venues, in our local communities in partnerships with other like-minded non-profit organizations such as “Building Beats NYC”, “King Street Center” of Burlington, VT, and “B.F.A. Saint Albans”.

WHY

Friends For A_DOG recognizes the importance and impact music plays on an individual's life. We understand that socioeconomic disparities play a factor for many communities to find access to these opportunities. Friends for A_Dog continues to navigate ways to improve access to programming for all students.
